At its meeting on Monday, January 26, 2026, the Board of Education of Bloomingdale School District 13 unanimously approved the employment contract of Dr. Vicki King, who will serve as the District’s next Superintendent.
Dr. King was selected following a comprehensive search process that included stakeholder input and multiple rounds of interviews. Her experience and leadership approach align with the District’s mission and priorities.
“The Board is confident that Dr. King’s experience and collaborative leadership style will serve Bloomingdale School District 13 well, and we look forward to working with her during this next chapter for the District,” said Michael Lenisa, President of the Board of Education.
The Board also expressed its appreciation to Dr. Bartelt for his leadership and service to the District. Dr. Bartelt will continue to serve as Superintendent through June, ensuring a smooth and well-supported transition.
The Board looks forward to welcoming Dr. King to the District and working with staff, families, and the community during the leadership transition.
