As a Westfield Student Ambassador and peer tutor, Tara has already proven her dedication to supporting others. Her leadership will soon reach a new level, as she was recently selected as a Student Ambassador for the District 13 Board of Education for the upcoming year. In this role, she will represent Westfield students at Board of Education meetings, serving as a vital voice for her peers.
Tara’s impact on our fine arts department is equally profound. A standout performer in both Band and Choir, she sets a high standard for herself and those around her. Her disciplined work ethic is evident in her willingness to use flex time to master her repertoire, ensuring she never misses a beat. This year, we have watched her grow not just as a talented musician, but as a leading presence who inspires her fellow performers through her own preparation and poise.
Her leadership extends into the theater and student council, where she has been a mainstay since 6th grade. Most notably, Tara recently collaborated with her peers to write, audition, and produce a student-led play specifically designed to welcome incoming 5th graders. This initiative perfectly captures Tara’s character: she is a builder of community who values teamwork and takes the initiative to make others feel they belong.
