Ms. Koerner's Page

Hi! I am Ms. Koerner, and I'm so excited to be joining the Westfield Middle School community! This will be my 8th year teaching middle school, and I'm looking forward to beginning this new chapter at Westfield. 

 

I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a degree in Middle Grades Education and have spent my teaching career working with middle school students. I love finding ways to make history engaging, relevant, and fun, and one of my favorite part of teaching is building relationships with students from and creating a classroom where everyone feels comfortable being themselves, asking questions, and getting involved.

 

Outside of school, I love playing golf/hockey, spending time with family and friends, traveling and finding any excuse to learn about history in the places I visit. I'm also a big fan of trying new restaurants, shopping, and watching reality TV.

 

I am so excited to be a Warrior and can't wait for a great year at Westfield!
