Mrs. Mirante's Page

Hello! My name is Leah Mirante. I have been teaching in School District 13 for over 20 years! Over the years, I have worked with multiple grade levels ranging from grades K-8. Currently, I teach 7th grade ELA! I have a strong passion for teaching students about how to view literature as a way to learn about themselves and as a way to learn about the world around them. In addition to teaching literature, I have a strong passion for teaching students strategies on ways to expand upon their writing skills. My ultimate goal is to create a reading and writing environment that is exciting, engaging, and everlasting!
