Mrs. Power's Page

Hello my name is Mrs. Power and I teach 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Family and Consumer Science. I started teaching at Westfield in Bloomingdale School District 13 in 2021 when the current Middle School FACS program started. My FACS teaching career began in 2010. Teaching cooking and sewing is a passion of mine. Outside of teaching Mr. Power, family and our goldendoodle O’Shea are who I love spending my time with. Often I am sewing, cooking and baking. 

My goal is to teach skills students can use throughout their lifetime. To explore working in the kitchen, hand sewing, and machine sewing.  To build creativity with a hands on appropriate to learning.

The kitchen is the heart of the home.
